This sensor serie introduce the rangeability of over 1:1000 without linearization software. This kind of performances allows to make more accurate measures on a wide range of flows and also allows to record really low flows that would have been resetted because of to the cut off effect ot the converter.
Their functioning is based on the Faraday principle, it causes a rotation of the plane of polarization which is linearly proportional to the component of the magnetic field in the direction of propagation. Formally, it is a special case of gyroelectromagnetism obtained when the dielectric permittivity tensor is diagonal. In this case the passing pipe is made of AISI 304 stainless steel and it's provided of stainlees steel ( carbon or Inox) flanges, it has two coils installed on the lower and on the higher part; the magnetic range, generated from the electric current that goes through the coils, induce a potential difference in the electrodes proportional to the flow.
With the goal to measure that potential which has so low values, The inside of the measuring pipe is electrically isolated, so the process liquid never come in contact niether with the material which the pipe is composed of nor with the one that compose the flanges. The used converter creates current that supplies the coils,gains the potential difference from the electrodes, elabore the singal useful to calculate the flow and it manages the external comunication.
The whole sensor, when installed in a separete version, has a protection rank of IP 68 for a permanent immersion depht in water of 1,5 meter, thanks to a weld sheet steel structure that contains coils and electrodes.
